Busy Weekend
Exhausted. Ryu came over to celebrate Valentines day. We hadn't made plans to meet up, but when I finished work and got on the train, he messaged me saying he wanted to meet up and could be at my place by 9:30. So he came and we hung out, talking about this and that while listening to music. Surprisingly, we actually slept. Or, he did, and I tried to, anyway. For some reason, I kept having horrible dreams and waking up.It was murder dragging myself out of bed at 5am to get ready for work. We left the house together at 6:30, I walked him to his car, we said our goodbyes and then I dragged myself through the 30 minute walk to my station to get to work.
We're going for a drive on Saturday and visiting a zoo/amusement park.

I met up with K a few days ago in Shinjuku, and for the first time, we met in the afternoon as opposed to the morning. Things were really crowded and we had a few things happen to us that really irritated us, but overall, it was an okay day.

Glad you enjoyed VD. ^^
Although you must have been tired today, but I suppose it was worth it. ^^

Oh yes. Mentally, I was fully awake, but physically, my body just wasn't having it. I skipped Zumba and slept from 8pm to now. I'll grab the new Sakura Late on my way to work and be back in full function in no time!

Ok, NOW I'm jealous! Starbucks Sakura heals everything! ;P

I guess? I get it mostly out of habit lol. I've always bought it on the first day it comes out, for the past five years XD

I love the taste so much, but even more the cups, mugs etc. They're not worth buying every year, but most of the time they are. ^___^
Miss that so much. :(

I'm not a big coffee person, so I turn out only for my usuals. The Sakura, The Pumpkin and the Caramel Choco Banana. I never buy the cups or anything like that. It seems mottainai to me. You cant get the cups and such in Germany? Or are you talking about the flavors?
超ちゃ人chochajin on February 16th, 2017 08:17 pm (UTC)
They don't have sakura mugs in Germany ... or any other cool seasonal stuff. And I'm ALSO talking about flavors. Furthermore, there are almost no Starbucks stores in Germany ... it's a joke compared to the US or Japan! Even in one of the biggest cities (where I'm currently living) there are only TWO!! -_-

Puerto Rico didn't have any starbucks when I lived there either. Now they are all over the place though, from what I hear. I know Florida has a lot but I don't know if anyone in my family goes. Most of us are tea or hot chocolate drinkers. Consider it a blessing that there are only two -- no one needs that much exposure to overpriced sugary drinks on a daily basis, lol. Three times a year is enough. Just buy the stuff on the website!

I was looking at the Sakura mugs yesterday. Why anyone would pay that price for a cup is beyond me. the tumblers were just as expensive. I was surprised.

It simply never got popular in Germany. It hasn't changed at all since forever. -_- *sigh*

I can't buy the limited stuff in Germany.
Yes, the cups are expensive, but not super expensive (unless that has changed in the past few years).
kurikuribebikurikuribebi on February 19th, 2017 01:18 pm (UTC)
Idk what their average price on things are, but the tumbler I looked at was 3,600 yen, and the mug I looked at was 2,500.

I think the cup I bought was something between 700 and 1200 yen. It's still my favorite cup, so I don't regret it. :)
kurikuribebikurikuribebi on February 19th, 2017 01:39 pm (UTC)
700 still seems like a lot for a cup to me. I'd probably spend it on a cup for a gift, but not on myself.

I wish I had more of those pictures! They really show our height difference, which I haven't been able to show clearly just yet. In the first picture, we have a bit of a height difference...and that is while I am wearing 5 inch heels. Imagine without!

In the second, he is sitting down and I am standing!
